
Marina began her healthcare career at 17, working as a telemetry technician and unit secretary at a large hospital on the East Coast. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She then completed her nursing degree at Western Carolina University in 2011. In 2016, Marina graduated with honors from the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program at Walden University. For the past ten years, she has practiced exclusively on Hawaii’s Big Island, gaining extensive experience across multiple specialties, including primary care, urology, orthopedics, and general surgery/wound care. Drawing on her own experiences with sports and other injuries, she has found her true calling in pain management, delivering compassionate, holistic, patient-centered care.Marina is bilingual in English and Russian and is skilled in providing culturally sensitive care to Slavic communities and inclusive care for LGBTQ+ patients. She serves on the board of Kumukahi Health + Wellness.
