Rehabilitation for Hawaii's Workers' Compensation System

Workstar™ Occupational Health Systems has been a "dream child" since my early days as Chief of Occupational Medicine for Kaiser in Hawaii. It is the culmination of more than 15 years direct experience with Hawaii's injured workers, employers, insurance carriers, and workers' compensation laws.

Extensive frontline experience with literally thousands of cases have made it apparent that problems usually result from poor communication, misdiagnosis, archaic rehabilitation, unnecessary adversarial interaction, and/or legal "game playing." Fortunately the treating physician is in a pivotal position to correct many of these problems.

Workstar™ has given me the opportunity to address these and other occupational issues head-on. We are well on the way to creating an interdisciplinary industrial managed care system in which virtually everyone wins.

Today, Workstar™ Occupational Health Systems is Hawaii's "shining star" in providing complete occupational Health Systems to the benefit of everyone involved. With our new, spacious clinic located at the Medical Service Center at the Hawaii Medical Center-West (see map), Workstar™ offers a complete range of Health Systems with special focus on PREVENTION, REHABILITATION, WORKFORCE WELLNESS, CORPORATE CONSULTATION and PAIN MANAGEMENT.
