Employee Health & Clinical Dependency Services At Workstar™ we will coordinate care for your employees regarding their health and clinical dependency to services available. Executive Health Consultations We offer services directed toward early detection and prevention of diseases. The physical consist of a wide spectrum of diagnostic screenings, physical and nutritional assessments and an extensive physician examination and follow-up. First-aid Cost Containment Program This program is designed to minimize the impact of injuries on the employer’s “experience rating”—the driving parameter used by insurers to adjust premiums upward. Select injuries may be dealt with in this fashion without sacrificing either care quality or employee benefits with the employer benefiting as well. Ask your Work*Star representative for further details 24 Hour Emergency Protocol (To be managed by physician on call) One of industrial injury management’s most daunting challenges resides in the transfer of care from the initial visit to emergency room to the occupational clinic. Not performed efficiently care quality suffers as does efforts to contain costs. To those ends Work*Star has developed “seamless” management protocols with the ER’s at both Hawaii Medical Center East and West. Employees are referred directly to Work*Star on a walk in basis the next business day without need for an appointment. Skilled occupational providers attend to the problem, release the patient for light duty whenever possible and communicate directly with designated client company officials. Chart Review Consultation A review of records, medical history & treatment designed to assist employer's return to work plans. Back to Work Evaluations, Clearance & Report A comprehensive evaluation to determine employee's ability to meet the physical requirements of their job after a disability, injury or accident. Light Duty / Back-to Work-Program Workstar™ is committed to the concept of light-duty as a cost-containment measure. We will assist employers with the creation of light duty jobs.
